OBA Storms Irele LGA, Consults Party Leaders, Executives

The long awaited consultation train landed in Irele Local Government Area (LGA), in a rousing and grand style on Sunday; 14th July, 2019.

The leading gubernatorial aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) was met with a warm reception whilst he enlisted their support and marshalled his life-changing plans and offers for the state when he gets the baton to pilot the state in the forthcoming gubernatorial race.

Akingboye expressed deep concern about the current state of insecurity and harsh economic policies ravaging the state; hinged the incessant killings and skyrocketed crime rate within the state on gross unemployment and indiscriminate hardship that have come to stay in the state, courtesy of the ineptitude of the current administration.

The businessman turned politician faulted the mortifying silence and inactions of Nigerian leaders in proffering plausible and lasting solutions to the menace even as he assured the engrossed audience listening in rapt attention that he would stay glued to his sole mandate of making the state an industrial hub.

Akingboye who promised to run a government that would provide jobs and create enabling environment for business activities in every corner of the state if elected; harped on his unquenchable passion for the welfare and health of the masses.

Addressing the stakeholders, Professor Oluyemisi Akinyemiju couldn’t withhold his joy and expression of fulfilment with the impressive turnout at the meeting.

He eulogised the party stalwarts for their loyalty, consistency and commitment to the party, urged them to throw their weight behind a man with untainted integrity vis-à-vis an experienced entrepreneur whose business acumen is capable of rescuing the state from its current economic woes.

Earlier, the LGA Party Chairman, High Chief Oyenusi who is also the host assured the team of their readiness to support the OBA 2020 project; noted that Akingboye had been tested and can be trusted to take over the state’s mantle of leadership. ”we will support you”, he said.

Giving the closing remark, a reputable leader and elder statesman, Chief Alex Akinnadeju expressed inimitable satisfaction at the composition of the meeting; praised enthusiastically the rare sagacity in OBA and assured that if elected, Akingboye will leave unprecedented legacy for the unborn children in Ondo state. He urged the party stalwarts to embrace merit: which is undoubtedly evident in OBA.
